Half Marathon…take 2 – day 52 – 46 days to go

Today is a rest day and a good thing too. What with grandkids seeming to always appear at the house (and I end up playing with them because I love it) It seems like there is never enough time to get all the things I want to do done.

That said, I’m on track and […]

Rainbows in the Sky

So last night we had some storms come thru and after they passed, the sun broke thru in the west under the clouds and we had a spectacular double rainbow display for a good 20 minutes. It was the brightest and longest display I’ve ever seen.

Kayaking in the back yard

So with the recent rain finally ending, I decided to go for a ride in the back yard. ‘Why?’ some will ask, I say, ‘Why not??’

Well…it really was a good idea at the time…

Why can’t I grow this?

I have all kinds of flowers in my yard including several varieties of Columbines, but this is the prettiest of them all. Unfortunately this is not in my yard, it’s about 1/4 mile away up a hill growing in the midst of rocks and gravel. What’s more frustrating is that there is a 3 […]

Honey, we’re home!

12,000 bees being dumped into a hive

Did you ever wonder how bees get into a new hive? I went off with my sister Saturday and drove down to meet the ‘bee guy’. He and a friend had driven straight from Georgia with about 1.2 million bees in their truck (and I thought […]

My Hindu Rope plant is blooming!
