So I’m sitting here in shorts and a t-shirt (72 degrees) and it will be a high of 41 tomorrow! We drove thru high plains, crossed the continental divide 5 times (highest elevation 7172 ft) spend some time in the Continental Divide Basin, Finally spotted the Rocky Mountains which spread 180 degrees in […]

it’s 5 miles to the top of that hill

We hit the point where we’ve started using the ‘really slow’ lane along with the truckers. It was five miles to the crest of that next hill and I was doing about 45 towards the top.

Fog, Wind, Salt, and the End of the Road

So the driving was easy in the beginning of the day. The scenery was spectacular, and there was an oldies station on the radio. We sailed. But, as we got closer to Salt Lake City, and Paul had been driving for several hours. (He doesn’t want me to drive if it is rainy, […]

What really happens all day

I sit and glaze contentedly out the window. Paul says. “Quick! Look! Get that picture!” I find the camera. And we’re already way past it. Paul says “Quick! Look! Take a picture!” I get a beautiful shot of ….the window screen. “Open it! Open the window.” This is true multi-tasking. The motor-home does not […]
