Empty Roads in Michigan

Today was an easy day, we’ve stopped in Rapid River Michigan where there is internet at the campsite. This gave Carol Ane and Greg the chance to get their internet fix’s.

What a change in terrain, yesterday there were parts of the trip that looked like you could get lost if you walked […]

Remember the song…

Remember the song by Gordon Lightfoot, ‘The wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald’? Well that’s what it reminded me of as I looked up Whitefish Bay into Lake Superior. The land to the right is Canada and the land to the left is the United States. We are back in the USA tonight and […]

Who said it wouldn’t last….

Well it’s been a week since we left and we’re still getting along. Who said it wouldn’t last (oh wait…was that me??) we took a walk up the Chutes this morning, a trail that follows the river up about a mile and had spectacular views!

Just what goes on in her mind?

Carol Ane is trying to figure out when I will start cooking dinner. Actually she is looking over the Chute falls. Tonight we are staying in Chutes Provincial Park in Massey, Ontario. Carol Ane and Greg want to rush back to the states so they can use their cell phones again. Me…I’d like […]

The Worlds largest nickel

This nickel is in Sudbury, Ontario and is thirty feet high! Across the vally is the largest mound of tailings I have ever seen. Sudbury is a very big mining town and also marks the most northern point of our trip. We turn west and will slowly be heading westward for the next […]

Inuksuk

All morning as we drove up to Sudbury, Ontario, we notice rock piles on top of any bare rock outcrops on the side of the road. At first we thought the kids in this area had WAY to much time on their hands, but as we continued to see them, mile after mile, […]

Fog!!

Driving along, nice and sunny and boom, we run into fog drifting off Georgian bay. Drove threw it about twenty minutes and then it was gone!
